Every space crafted for curiosity, community, and care

Harbor Day School carries the kind of identity that families hold onto across generations: a name, a mark, a feeling that belongs to a community. When the school came to RSM Design to refresh their brand, the work began not with reinvention, but with listening. Understanding what the community cherished, what needed to endure, and where thoughtful evolution could quietly elevate the whole.

The result is a brand system that feels as though it has always been there. Timeless and coastal in spirit, the refreshed identity preserves the equity the school had built over decades while bringing new coherence and longevity to every touchpoint. The design respects the multigenerational connection families have to Harbor Day, seamlessly building on what existed rather than replacing it, so the transition felt natural to the people who care most about this place.

The scope extended beyond the brand itself, with environmental graphic design, wayfinding, public art, and murals woven throughout the campus to create a unified sense of place. Each element reinforces the school's character, grounding students, families, and visitors in an environment that reflects the warmth, roots, and coastal identity at the heart of Harbor Day School.

RSM Design reimagined the Harbor Day crest, breathing new life into a community symbol.
