RSM Design has developed a comprehensive brand, signage and wayfinding, and art program for Aerocity New Delhi, a 400-acre sustainable and connected aerotropolis serving as an international tourist and commercial hub at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. As the gateway between India and the global air industry, Aerocity embraces cultural identity and localism, creating opportunities to honor the past while looking toward the future. The vision is to establish Aerocity as a safe, smart and sustainable commercial district with highly connected and interactive urban precincts that support the socio-economic growth of the Delhi Airport community. Our design approach focuses on Smart City and international design principles while establishing a cohesive brand framework that unites the airport, Aerocity and its districts, destinations, and public spaces under a distinctive and authentically "Indian" cultural expression. Through thoughtful placemaking and environmental graphics, the design creates a seamless experience that guides visitors while celebrating India's rich heritage. The result is a dynamic district where tradition and innovation converge, establishing Aerocity as a world-class destination that feels unmistakably rooted in place.
