RSM Design’s work on The Campus Center at Rinker for Chapman University reflects the studio’s expertise in environmental graphic and wayfinding design within a higher-education setting. Located on the university’s health science education and research campus in Irvine, California, the project involved developing comprehensive wayfinding signage throughout the facility — from meeting rooms, classrooms, and offices to the student-focused “Panther Store.” All signage thoughtfully reflects Chapman’s brand identity, incorporating the university’s bold red palette and iconic mascot, Pete the Panther, to reinforce school spirit and create visual continuity across functional and social spaces.

Working closely within Chapman University’s established brand standards, RSM Design crafted a tailored navigation system that enhances clarity and orientation while enriching the student experience. The wayfinding program supports everyday campus life by making key destinations easy to find and by visually tying together diverse environments in a way that feels both intuitive and authentically rooted in the university’s culture.
