Redefining Luxury Through Naturalistic Simplicity

RSM Design is part of the world-class design team working on the newest Aman resort in Guanacaste. The resort is located on 775 acres of untouched shoreline along Costa Rica’s Pacific coast, surrounded by ocean, dense jungle, and dramatic mountainous ridges. This region is recognized as one of the world’s five “Blue Zones,” where residents are known to live longer, healthier, and more fulfilled lives. That philosophy of wellbeing and longevity informs the broader vision for the project, shaping an approach to luxury defined by natural simplicity, balance, and connection to place.
Within this context, RSM Design is developing a comprehensive signage and wayfinding program that reflects both the values of the resort and the unique cultural and environmental character of the region. The system is intended to be understated and intuitive, guiding guests seamlessly through the expansive landscape while maintaining a deep sensitivity to the surrounding nature. By integrating clarity, restraint, and material honesty, the design reinforces the resort’s commitment to a more grounded and experiential form of luxury that is rooted in its environment.
